Why choose SCENARIO?

Simple to use, as well as powerful

A timeline is provided to make viewing video areas extremely flexible

Email notifications of alerts and events

All in one

Digital Signage includes three process phases: content management, their assignment to peripheric devices and their visualization. In Solari’s solution they are all included within a single instrument: Scenario, immediate and easy to use, including tools to configure system features and settings.

Designing Scenario, Solari aimed at developing a comprehensive and adaptable tool, not compromising usability.

Many ways to communicate

Scenario is capable of aggregating files with different formats: videos, images, audio, static text inserted by the user, dynamic text that changes in time (for example, RSS feeds) provided by specific servers, HTML pages provided by external sites, PDF and PowerPoint presentation files. Furthermore, each object has specific properties which can be modified by the user. For example, in the case of static text, the font, color, and character size, can all be modified to adapt the presentation to the user’s needs.

Scenario is the perfect tool for applying communication laws in the most accurate, direct and targeted way.

Lots of information in one place

Thanks to Scenario, the display screen area can be subdivided into multiple, distinct areas, easily and with great flexibility. In this way, each area can show text, videos or images independently: with the help of a single display, it is therefore possible to simultaneously distribute different types of information in terms of content and format.

Everyone has its own role

Distributed environments with multiple branches require a careful assignment of roles and responsibilities: Scenario’s s user profile configuration can help in this respect.

Access to the different application features is regulated based on the profiles assigned to users, so as to reserve critical operations only for specific users. With the same principle, during the content configuration phase, a user can work with all of the various types of display areas, or he or she can be limited to a single area, again, based on the assigned profile, so as to protect common areas for a group of displays or throughout the system. With similar rules, it is possible to limit the use of schedules, as well as the updating and management of certain displays.

All possible formats

With Scenario, it is possible to view videos based on the most popular formats, such as MPEG, AVI, MOV, and H264, as well as images with the standard formats (JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP , etc.). Further effects to text and images (horizontal scrolling, fading…) make it possible to increase the effectiveness of communication by applying the subtle rules of communication.

The importance of planning

Thanks to Scenario’ s features, after defining multimedia contents to be displayed, is the next step is aggregating them to create a weekly schedule. The binding of schedules to the displays, along with their respective validity dates, represent the next step that leads to the actual programming: in this way, it is possible to define the days of the week and the times in which contents are viewed, and therefore plan and organize the distribution of content throughout the system.

Centralized management…

Communication between the central server and the displays is based on the Ethernet interface and the HTTP protocol, both for sending content as well as for exchanging other service information, such as messages regarding the outcome of schedule transfers and data transfers concerning the functioning state of the peripheral devices.

Thanks to Scenario’s features, it is possible to view the outcome of a dispatch along with any anomalies detected during the dispatch itself.

It is also possible to update displays with a USB flash drive, which can be useful should the displays not be connected to the network.

And local visualization

The displays are equipped with a player module, which has the main purpose of presenting contents in the various areas into which the screen surface is subdivided, be it a TFT display, or a text oriented, LED display. The player then shows contents based on the schedule sent from the central server, with which it also communicates to receive updates regarding contents to be published.

Everything under control

Thanks to a synoptic diagram of the entire system, where it is possible to view its various displays in an immediate and intuitive way, and where it is also possible to view any anomalies, it is possible to monitor the functioning state of all displays. Furthermore, to assist the user with normal operations, functioning parameters of the displays can be controlled remotely, so as to reduce management costs by having maintenance performed only when it is strictly necessary. Scenario also offers an email service for highlighting any anomalies, or for notifying of the completion of specific tasks, such as the dispatch of new contents to displays.

Operating System Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008/7

The application is available in different versions that differ in the number of managed clerk windows.
